LINKING BRICS INNOVATION POTENTIAL THROUGH INNOVATION NETWORKING PLATFORM

MINOBR RF logo  On 24 February, 2016, Lyudmila Ogorodova, RF Deputy Minister for Science and Education, chaired the IV session of the Counsel for R&D, technological and innovation cooperation between the BRICS countries. Anton Yanovsky, Project Director of the Russian Technology Transfer Network, attended this meeting as a head of the expert group for R&D and Innovation Platform (RDIP BRICS).

 The session summarised the results of the events in the R&D, technological and innovation sector, held under the Russian Federation’s presidency in the BRICS interstate association. Special attention was paid to the issues of the research infrastructure of the five countries,

implementation of the multilateral Research Initiative and coordination of joint calls for R&D projects.

The heads of the expert groups reported the results achieved in their directions of cooperation, according to the Work Plan 2015-2018. In particular, Anton Yanovsky, the head of the expert group for R&D and Innovation Platform suggested using the previously developed BRICS-TTN Platform as partner search tool for the first BRICS multi-lateral call, to be announced in May 2016
