“The UNIDO Project “Partnership between Russia and Brazil in technology and innovation for development of SMEs with the extension to other BRICS countries” may be considered as the first step towards establishment of a mechanism for increased cooperation between the BRICS and UNIDO. I am pleased to say that we have already achieved a number of encouraging practical results while implementing this project. These include two showcases of successful transfers of technology between Russia and Brazil, as well as the creation of a website for the Russia-Brazil network with a database and starter pack of technology proposals and requests (http://BRICS-TTN.org ). Moreover, focal points in each of the BRICS countries have been identified to set the basis for further extension of this project.” — said LI Yong, the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
